The Original Type 1227

Anglepoise are celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the first 1227 Anglepoise lamp. To mark the occasion they have relaunched the original lamp! The lamp will also be featured on a Royal Mail stamp due for release on 13th January, celebrating ten British Design Classics such as the Mini, Concorde, the Routemaster bus and many more. When first launched 75 years ago, no-one had seen anything like it, and this particular lamp has inspired many users, including The Queen, Roald Dahl and Lloyd George. A fantastic British Design that will stand the measure of time.
