New for 2010, the Copper Shade Floor is a brilliant addition to the ever successful Copper Range. The beautiful warmth of the colour means it looks just as stunning when off. The Copper Shade is created by exploding a thin layer of pure metal onto the internal surface of a polycarbonate globe. The result is a highly reflective surface with a warm metallic glow.

IMPORTANTThe Mirror Ball range and Copper Shade all share the same special vacuum metalisation process, developed by Tom Dixon. The technically complex nature of the process, ie applying a very thin layer of real metal to the internal surface of a polycarbonate form, which is then UV coated requires highly skilled workers, special machinery and a clean environment. Tom Dixon have sought to perfect this process but due to environmental conditions outside of their control, there may at times be evidence of extremely small holes appearing within the metal coating. This does not mean that the light is faulty, it simply means that due to the above process, it is difficult to avoid. Tom Dixon have worked hard to minimise this as far as possible, but it is always good to be aware of these small holes just in case they do arise in your light.
